General information
The main aim and objective of the presented proposal is to focus on the impact and influence of plant-origin active compounds on redox regulation mechanisms of cells under the oxidative stress. In this point of view the collaboration within the program between the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology, Yerevan State University (YSU), Yerevan, Armenia and the Université Bourgogne-Franche Comté, Laboratoire de Biochimie du Peroxysome, Inflammation & Métabolisme Lipidique, Dijon, France will be mutually beneficial, as it will be an opportunity to undergo professional training and possess new recent methodological approaches. Some mechanisms of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of plant-origin substances on the BV-2 wild type and acyl-CoA oxidase deficient (ACOX1) microglial cells will be investigated. During the implementation of the project tasks, it will be possible to achieve the necessary skills and knowledge in the field of molecular biochemistry as all main tools will be applied. It will be possible also to get some skills with working on different cell lines. All the abovementioned skills will be applicable for the implementation of research in the frames of Basic support project from Science Committee of RA and other projects planned in YSU.
