The Archeology Department of the museum stands out with its interesting exhibits, which include numerous finds obtained from the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences and found during the archaeological expeditions of the Chair of Archeology and Ethnography of the YSU Faculty of History, from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages.
Specialists of the above-mentioned Chair often hold professional courses in the museum, and students get acquainted with the archaeological cultures of the Armenian Highlands. These exhibits not only have great educational value from the point of view of enriching the professional knowledge of university students, but are also important for the research studies of Armenian and foreign specialists.
