YSU students among the best: Results of national competition announced
The results of the 2024 competition for awarding named scholarships to the top-performing students of Armenian universities have been summarized. The competition, titled "Best Student", recognized 37 winners from various higher education institutions across the country.
The competition was open to students in the 2nd to 4th years of bachelor’s degree programs, as well as those who had completed the first semester of their master’s programs at both state and accredited private universities in Armenia. The competition was organized across several fields: natural sciences, social sciences, Armenian studies, humanities, medicine, engineering, and culture-sports.
4 students from Yerevan State University (YSU) and 2 students from YSU Ijevan Branch received awards.
YSU award-winning students of this year’s competition for the named scholarships for top-performing students of Armenian universities are Lusine Baghdasaryan ("Genomics and Medical Cell Genetics" master’s program, 2nd year), Emma Noninyan ("History of the Armenian Language and Linguistics " master’s program, 2nd year), Stella Shahinyan ("Linguistic Culture of International Business Communication" master’s program, 2nd year), Lida Yeghiazaryan ("Psychology" bachelor’s program, 4th year), Sahak Gulakyan (YSU Ijevan Branch, "Informatics and Applied Mathematics" bachelor’s program, 4th year), Nazeli Yesayan (YSU Ijevan Branch, "Russian Language and Literature" bachelor’s program, 4th year)․
The annual competition aims to identify and encourage students who have demonstrated high academic achievement and active participation during their studies, as well as to support their future professional development.
