YSU and Union of Banks of Armenia stand by Artsakh students
Today, YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Daniel Azatyan, Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA), held a meeting at YSU Academic Council Session Hall, which was also attended by students from Artsakh. During the meeting, educational opportunities and the prospects for cooperation were discussed. Daniel Azatyan presented the peculiarities of the banking system and answered students' questions.

YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan emphasized the university's efforts to ensure that the education of students displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh continues without interruption. He said, "Considering the difficult social conditions created by the war, we have approached several organizations, philanthropists, and companies to ensure uninterrupted learning for Artsakh students at the university with their support. Thanks to these initiatives, we were able to fully cover the tuition fees for all students. It is our duty to support our compatriots during this challenging period."
Daniel Azatyan, Chairman of UBA, underscored the importance of ensuring uninterrupted learning for students, noting that the banking system is ready to support the youth.

"When we were presented with this issue, 18 Armenian banks immediately responded and willingly offered their support. Armenian banks have not only provided financial assistance but have also expressed a willingness to invest in educational programs that will contribute to the professional development of students. Training educated and qualified specialists is crucial not only for the banking system but also for the country's development. Therefore, we will continue our cooperation with YSU in supporting students," emphasized Daniel Azatyan.
During the meeting, students asked questions about financial support programs, job and internship opportunities in the banking sector, and modern financial technologies, particularly cryptocurrencies and card systems.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the chairman of UBA emphasized that cooperation will continue, with new educational programs and opportunities being discussed to create better educational conditions for students.
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan once again expressed gratitude to all partners for standing by the students from Artsakh, stressing that YSU will continue to support its students.
Previously, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between YSU and the Union of Banks of Armenia with the view to supporting students displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
