THE YSU LIBRARY AFTER SARGIS AND MARI IZMIRLIANS. GUIDE
The reading rooms of the YSU library after Sargis and Marie Izmirlians will be open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00.
To use the library, you need to have a unified ticket issued by the faculty. It is both a student ticket and a library ticket, issued for a certain period based on the reader's university status: four years for undergraduate students, and two years for master's students. YSU faculty representatives are given a library ticket for the duration of the contract signed with them. Representatives of other universities have the opportunity to use the library upon obtaining permission from the directorate of the YSU library.
The library ticket can be reissued by applying to the computer department of the library (YSU library building, 3rd floor, room 302). If the reading ticket is lost, it is necessary to apply to the subscription department (YSU library building, 3rd floor, room 301).
Using the YSU unified ticket, university students are allowed to borrow books and periodicals, order online materials and articles, view access card data, use free access databases in YSU territory, use library computers and free Internet, and read digital books.
It should be noted that the library operates a manual textbook fund on the second floor, a manual art fund on the third floor, and a section of antique, rare, and art literature on the fourth floor. The books from the YSU library can be borrowed and returned from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.
Let us add that the YSU library was established in 1920, and the ceremonial opening took place in 1922. The scientific library was named after Sargis and Marie Izmirlians, the parents of the Swiss-Armenian philanthropist Tigran Izmirlian on October 7, 1997.
