YSU researcher explores ways to overcome resistance to antibiotics Naira Sahakyan, a senior researcher at the YSU Biology Research Institute, has received funding from the "Program for the Advancement of Women Leaders-2024", announced by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MoESCS). Her project, titled "Antibiotic Activity of Plant Flavonoids and Possibilities of Their Application: A Comprehensive Study through In Vitro and In Silico Investigation", aims to explore possible ways for overcoming antibiotic resistance in bacteria and cancer cells.
YSU expands cooperation with Chinese academic institutions At the invitation of the Institute of East European, Russian, and Central Asian Studies (IEERCAS) at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Head of the YSU International Cooperation Office Alexander Markarov arrived in China on a working visit. During their visit, they had several meetings aimed at deepening existing cooperation between YSU and its Chinese partners, as well as strengthening new ties.
