Issues related to acid-base balance in the body in the research framework of YSU PhD student One of the priorities of Yerevan State University is to ensure the involvement of young researchers in scientific research activities. For this purpose, the necessary academic environment (laboratories enriched with the latest equipment, research centers and technological resources) is created for university students to carry out relevant research studies, explore and create new ideas.
Remote laboratory: platform uniting Armenian and foreign mathematicians In the Ghent Analysis and PDE Center (Belgium), founded at YSU, three foreign researchers are conducting a series of research within the framework of post-doctoral education, which, along with the other opportunities, will also provide the scientists with the opportunity to predict natural disasters.
Circular economy as object of research: YSU lecturer is one of the first to study the field The development of the circular economy is one of the priorities of the EU, but almost almost no economic analyzes on it is conducted in Armenia. Vardan Aleksanyan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, in cooperation with colleagues from Germany and Romania, published a scientific article in the international periodical "Sustainability".
The scientific group has developed a new method of water purification Water is one of the most important resources of human life and civilization. Water used for drinking, irrigation, and circulation in the natural ecosystem does not meet global standards of purified water. YSU young scientists, as well as researchers from other RA scientific institutions, jointly developed a project in which new, safe, affordable methods aimed at ensuring a normal circulation of water in the ecosystem and contributing to the "health" of the environment are proposed.
Application of critical thinking to diasporic archive analyses: lecture at YSU Karen Jallathian, a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) (Germany), held a lecture titled "Application of critical thinking to diasporic archive analyses" at the YSU Academic Writing Center.
YSU Faculty of Chemistry seeks to boost research studies Chemical and biological systems at the molecular level will be discovered and investigated at the university thanks to the vibrational spectroscopy station combined with state-of-the-art gas chromatography with wide capabilities. YSU is the first in Armenia to have the opportunity to obtain this combined equipment.
YSU Physical Chemistry Laboratory to receive new equipment The Physical Chemistry Research Laboratory of the YSU Research Center for Chemistry will receive new equipment that will provide the opportunity to upgrade the physicochemical studies of liquid solutions, publish the results in high-ranking international periodicals and present them at international conferences.
Continuous improvement of scientific research in focus In order to improve laboratory infrastructures, as well as to enrich them with modern equipment, YSU implements many programs and solves problems aimed at increasing the efficiency of the educational process, performing innovative research and developing science. Being funded by the Higher Education and Science Committee of the RA MoESCS, enrichment of the material-technical base of a number of YSU laboratories was implemented.
Steps towards the development of research skills at YSU To promote scientific research works, to ensure the representation of the results of researchers' scientific studies on international platforms, as well as to expand international scientific cooperation, the Academic Writing Center established in YSU continues its activities successfully, supporting young researchers in the field of academic writing.
YSU as a guideline for becoming competitive specialist Yerevan State University continuously expands the list of educational programs, improves their content, expands technical capabilities and implements student-centered reforms to ensure the educational, scientific and cultural development of students.
