NEW SUGGESTIONS AND DISCUSSIONS.YSU ACADEMIC COUNCIL MEETING
Today a meeting of the Academic Council of YSU took place. On the agenda were 6 main and a number of current issues.
Chairman of the Humanitarian Sciences Competition Commission Nagash Martirosyan and Chairman of the Natural Sciences Competition Commission Khachatur Nerkararyan submitted three applications to the Academic Council for awarding the academic title of Associate Professor.
Under the next agenda item, Levon Avetisyan, editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “The Bulletin of the University of Yerevan,” presented proposals for structural changes to the journal.
Then, YSU Chief Accountant Rafik Grigoryan submitted a budget of income and expenses for 2020, which must be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval.
Moving on to the next agenda item, the acting director of YSU Ijevan branch Anushavan Makaryan presented the branch report.
Moving on to the next agenda item, YSU SSS President Vanatur Sherents informed the members of the Scientific Council that he was terminating the powers of the president of the institution and that it is elected a new candidate.
At the end of the meeting, Dean of the Faculty of Law of YSU Gagik Ghazinyan informed the members of the Academic Council that the draft law “On Higher Education and Science” is in circulation, and YSU should give an answer in a certain way.
He proposed the creation of a working group.
