YSU ALUMNI AND CAREER CENTER IN COLLABORATION WITH “CALOUSTE GULBENKIAN FOUNDATION” ORGANIZES THE “CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND LABOR MARKET INTEGRATION OF DIASPORA YOUTH” PROJECT
The aim of the program "Career Development of Diaspora Youth - Integration in the Labor Market" is to promote the competitiveness of young specialists, to support their integration into the labor market.
The project is open to young specialists between the ages of 18 - 40, who are a student or have a higher education, have teamwork skills, are a conscientious and responsible person, have communication skills.
In a conversation with us, the director of YSU Alumni and Career Center Lilit Hakobyan said, that the idea of implementing this program appeared before the spread of the epidemic.
"We had already discussed and approved the program with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, but due to the current situation, the work was stopped. In August, we resumed negotiations and signed a memorandum, which will enable us to implement this idea" she said.
The director of the YSU Alumni Career Center said that it was previously decided to implement the program only for Diaspora Armenian youth, but during the epidemic it became clear that young people living in Armenia also need support, and now they also have the opportunity to participate.
Lilit Hakobyan said, that young specialists aged 18-40 can participate in the program for two months.
It consists of two stages. In the first stage, participants will participate in courses, trainings and meet with employers, and in the second stage, they will be given the opportunity to pass a probationary period in organizations.
