PROMOTING HERITAGE-AND CULTURE-BASED EXPERIENTIAL TOURISM IN THE BLACK SEA BASIN
Within the framework of "PRO ExTOUR" program, the opening of the experimental tourism hub-classroom took place today at the Service Department of YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology.
The main goal of the PRO ExTOUR program is to promote experiential tourism as a sustainable development path for the Black Sea Basin tourism business, valuing the potential of indigenous heritage and culture, innovative solutions and cross-border cooperation.
The program is implemented by three higher education institutions with applied research experience in the field of tourism: Yerevan State University (Armenia), Varna State University (Bulgaria) and Thessaloniki University (Greece).
Alexander Margarov, Head of YSU International Cooperation Department, delivered a speech at the opening of the pill-room equipped with modern equipment.
Congratulating those present, he noted that the audience is aimed at being able to connect the education system with business, business with future activities, and the future with the university.
The newly opened classroom will host lectures for indoor and outdoor audiences.
