I knew why I was coming to university.

I chose Yerevan State University to get an education because it could not be otherwise. I was born into a family of university graduates and since childhood, I have been dreaming of continuing my studies at YSU after finishing school. After all, it is the first and largest, most powerful Armenian higher education institution, one of the anchors of the Armenian state and national existence.

I got two majors at the university at the same time.

My late grandmother wanted me to become a doctor, and my parents did not seem to mind either, but I was firm in my decision, and after finishing school, I entered two YSU faculties: journalism and law at the same time, convinced that the university would give me competitive knowledge and professional experience to present myself in my chosen field with my own face and image.

Journalism and law are intertwined.

At first glance, the professions of a journalist and a lawyer are far from each other, but in reality, they are not. Journalism helps to master the skills of public communication, distinguish real from false information, reject the spread of disinformation, and to establish media hygiene and information detox. While the legal profession, which is my passion, having a large scope of activities and helps to establish the rule of law. It turns out that both of them fight against the rejectable, the vicious, and the criminal.

I got closer to science during my university years, believing that science is attractive to those who not only have the research skills and talent, but also the will and diligence, the ability to say something new and make it public.

The new knowledge acquired during the master's studies, and the skills to perform scientific and research work will help me in the future to walk the difficult path I have chosen and after gaining professional experience and skills, I hope will lead me to return to my beloved university as a lecturer one day.

YSU has a key role in my life.

I am sure that due to the right choice I made, getting an education at Yerevan State University, greater success awaits me, although the knowledge gained thanks to my family, exceptional teachers and professors allowed me to get a job at the RA Criminal Appellate Court as an assistant to the judge even before I finished my studies at YSU.  Today I am the assistant to the deputy head of the RA Cadaster Committee.

Being a YSU student creates new paths.

I wish YSU applicants success, the will not to be refrained by difficulties and boundless diligence, so that they too can experience the pride of being a university student.
