STUDENTS OF FACULTY OF CHEMISTRY SHOW THE MONO AND MULTICRYSTAL COLLECTION CULTIVATED BY THEM
By the initiative of the Student Scientific Society of YSU Faculty of Chemistry the third-year students Vladimir Vardapetyan and Astghik Grigoryan presented the crystals cultivated by them and told about the methods of their cultivation.
The idea of creating the collection of crystals came to the students’ mind at the end of their first year at the university.
To start the activities they studied more than 50 substances and got engaged in their processing for two years.
Vladimir Vardapetyan said that they mainly used one method of crystal cultivation within the scope of which they worked out a special mechanism for working with each substance.
On the show board the students also marked how long it took to cultivate each crystal.
