“VIRTUAL LABORATORY” AT YSU

This was told during our conversation with the assistant of the Chair of Solid State Physics of the Faculty of Physics, PhD in Mathematics Suren Bznuni.

According to him, the new computer program makes it possible to enrich the theoretic knowledge with practical skills. Due to it students can understand how the management of nuclear reactor is implemented.

Suren Bznuni added that with the help of the computer laboratory the processes of poisoning of nuclear reactor and the actions to be carried out by the operator in case of possible emergency to cope with the situation and eliminate the consequences will be modeled in virtual reality.

YSU has been member of the regional network for increasing education and qualification in nuclear energy “STAR-NET”.
