CLASSROOM AFTER LINGUIST ASHOT SUKIASYAN OPENS AT YSU
The classroom N108 of the Faculty of Armenian Philology has been named after Doctor of Philology, Professor Ashot Sukiasyan.
The opening of the classroom was initiated by Professor’s daughter, Knarik Sukiasyan. The initiative was supported by the Chair of Armenian Language and the head of the Chair of Armenian Language History Anna Abajyan.
The Dean of the Faculty of Armenian Philology Artsrun Avagyan, the head of the Chair of Armenian Language Yuri Avetisyan, the head of the Chair of Armenian Language History Anna Abagyan, the head of the Chair of General Linguistics Vardan Petrosyan, the head of the Chair of History of Armenian Literature after Academician H. Tamrazyan Samvel Muradyan, the Associate Professor of the Chair of Armenian Language, Ashot Sukiasyan’s daughter-Knarik Sukiasyan, Ashot Sukiasyan’s grandchildren and the great-grand child were present at the opening event.
Those present shared their recollections about the eminent linguist, made speeches on the event.
