ANNOUNCEMENT

In relation to the announcement regarding 18 employees of YSU not attending their work, and AMD 18 million misappropriation we state that the pay of the faculty employees is determined in accordance with his/her annual employment. Some activities involved in teaching activities (term papers, diploma work leading, master’s or scientific theses leading and so on) due to IT possibilities can be carried out without physical presence in university (distantly). We officially announce that no salary or wage was paid at the university without complete performance of the activities, and it makes it possible to insist that the announced presumption has no base and is manipulative.

In relation to the announcement about not entering the rents paid by leasers of the university in accordance with determined order we inform that it does not correspond to the reality. The amounts paid by leasers were entered appropriately and formulated as determined by law. Detailed explanations and proofs have been presented to the police.

As regards the presumable crime incriminated to YSU official we inform that the official person resolutely refuses the mentioned incrimination and we think that in this announcement of the police the constitutional guarantee of assumption of innocence was broken.

In such conditions we urge the police, the mass media and the public to keep away from making groundless comments, to respect human rights and assumption of innocence and wait till the final decision related to the criminal case.

Simultaneously, we hope that a comprehensive, complete and unbiased investigation will be provided and the groundless suspicions will be dispelled.
