ARTSAKH ON THE WAY OF SCIENTIFIC DIPLOMACY DEVELOPMENT: “SCIENTIFIC ARTSAKH”
The presentation of “Scientific Artsakh” periodical was held today in the Session Hall of YSU Academic Council.
The Secretary of YSU Academic Council, the Associate Professor of the Faculty of International Relations menua Soghhomonyan, greeting those present stated that an important scientific and cultural event is taking place-the presentation of “Scientific Artsakh” periodical published by “The Union of Young Scholars and Specialists of Artsakh” NGO and YSU.
M. Soghomonyan mentioned that YSU is tightly cooperating with “The Union of Young Scholar and Specialists of Artsakh”.
The chairman of the union Avetik Harutyunyan presented the activity of “UYSSA”, the events organized by it and the editorial staff which involves both Artsakh and foreign scholars.
The chairman of the editorial board of the periodical was YSU Rector Aram Simonyan.
Doctor of political Sciences, Associate Professor Khachik Galstyan informed that the “Scientific Artsakh” should become a separate branch of scientific diplomacy which is necessary to develop.
The member of the editorial board of the periodical, the head of the Chair of Political Institutions and Processes of YSU, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Garik Keryan stated that the periodical is an important platform where both tutors and students can publish their articles.
The member of the editorial board, the head of the Chair of Printed and Broadcast Media, Doctor of Philology, Professor Mushegh Hovsepyan asserted the high quality of presented works.
Commenting on the selection of the name “Scientific Artsakh” Avetik Harutyunyan noted that first of all its goal is to show foreigners that Artsakh is not only a conflict zone.
Mr. Harutyunyan also mentioned that the scientists living in Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora can enrich the research made into Artsakh and to promote Artsakh’s becoming more recognizable worldwide.
