YSU RETRAINED LECTURERS SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCE WITH COLLEAGUES
On December 3-7, YSU lecturers took part in “Active Learning in Flipped Classroom” qualification improvement training they got in Linköping, Sweden and currently they are sharing their experience with their colleagues.
Within the scope of “PRINTeL” project 15 lecturers of YSU got qualification improvement trainings in 5 different universities. In “Active Learning in Flipped Classroom” training participated YSU Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor of the Chair of Political Institutions and Processes Menua Soghomonyan, the acting head of the Chair of Service Gor Alexanyan and the Associate Professor of the Chair Philosophy history Serob Khachatryan.
In accordance with the program YSU lecturers should change their program instilling the element of active learning in “Flipped Classroom”, which means that they are to teach in more innovative, digital methods. Active learning means that the students are not only passive listeners.
Me. Soghomonyan also spoke about the idea of “Flipped Classroom” explaining that the lesson focuses on holding the practical part of the lesson in the classroom.
