NEW APPOINTMENTS, REWARDS AND DISCUSSION OF CURRENT ISSUES: EXPANDED MEETING OF THE RECTORATE HAS BEEN HELD

At the beginning of the meeting the acting Rector of YSU Gegham Gevorgyan informed that as a result of structural changes YSU has new vice-rectors. Before introducing them Gegham Gevorgyan thanked the former vice-rectors for the work done and devotion.

For long devoted activity and contribution to the university education Gegham Gevorgyan awarded the former vice-rector Ruben Markosyan with YSU Gold Medal.

Ruben Markosyan thanked his colleagues and student bodies for teamwork. He also stressed that he is proud of being a part of the university community.

The acting Rector informed that Elina Asriayn was appointed vice-rector on Humanities and Social Sciences of “Yerevan State University” foundation. He also informed that an agreement was made to appoint the current director of the RA NAS Institute of Mathematics Rafael Barkhudaryan the vice-rector on Nature and Exact Sciences in a month period.

Ararat Malkhasyan will go on working as a vice-rector on General Affairs, and the vice-rector on International Cooperation and Public Relations will be appointed prior to the new academic year.

The issue of rewarding on the event of YSU 100th anniversary was also discussed during the meeting. The acting Rector said that he is ready to hear out the proposals on the candidates.

The head of the Educational-Methodological Department of YSU Hrant Zhamharyan informed the participants of the Rectorate on the problems with the presentation of the employment of the chairs.

He offered to present the data on the results of the admission to Bachelor and Master Program to determine the tariff rates taking into account the payments established for one hour.

At the end of the meeting the director of YSU library Yeznik Mirzoyan informed that this year the students’ cards won’t be given by the bank, but will be prepared by the university as the corresponding equipment will soon be delivered. The data and photos of all students are to be entered into “Supervision” system before the university holidays so as the cards will be given to students in September.

He also informed that the damaged or lost student cards can be restored free of charge.
