YSU TEAM PARTICIPATES IN PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL MOOT COURT AND GETS IMPRESSIVE RESULTS
The team of YSU Faculty of Law participated in the annual international moot court related to the international criminal law which was held in Nurnberg, Germany on July 23-28.
The moot court consisted of two stages-written and oral. 100 universities of the world took part in the written stage. In this stage YSU team got 81 scores of 100 possible ones, which was the highest result ever got by YSU.
YSU team got the 8th line and received the possibility to participate in the oral stage in Nurnberg. In the oral stage participated teams of such universities as Maastricht( Netherlands), Oslo, Warsaw, Regensburg, Creighton (USA), Rio de Janeiro, Singapore National university and others.
During the first oral contest YSU competed with the team of Rio de Janeiro university as a prosecution party, and in the second contest YSU team was a defender and competed against Pristina university.
YSU team won with 19 scores of possible 20. As a result of two games YSU got 31.5 scores and reached the 8th line.
YSU team involved the students of the Faculty of Law Harutyun Hovhannisyan, Lusine Hovhannisyan. Mane Markosyan, Maria Petrosyan and Satik Ghimoyan. The coach of the team was the assistant of the faculty Gevorg Poghosyan.
YSU has been participating in such moot courts since 2016, and according to the participants it gives them the possibility to gain experience and practical knowledge.
