‘SOMETIMES YOU HAVE A SOLUTION, BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MENTALITY THAT SOLUTION NEEDS’: JOACHIM GAUCK

During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Anushavan Zhamkochyan thanked Joachim Gauck for his attention to Armenia and presented the history  of the Faculty of Theology.

‘The Faculty of Theology was founded in 1995, and in honor of our authorities, I must say that our country was the only one in the former Soviet Union countries whose Faculty of Theology was established at the State University’, said Anushavan Zhamkochyan .

He also added that the faculty has been actively cooperating with German universities, in particular the successful example of such a partner is the Halle-Wittenberg University after Martin Luther.

During the meeting, former President of Germany Joachim Gauck inquired about the history of YSU, the scholarships granted to students and the prospect of cooperation with the University.

At the end of the meeting, YSU Vice-rector Elina Asrian handed former President of Germany a souvenir.
