‘HUMANITARIAN AID NEVER ENDS’: AURORA PRIZE LAUREATE ANNOUNCED AS YAZIDI ACTIVIST MIRZA DINNAYI
At the beginning of the meeting, the attendees watched a video on the activities of the organization Luftbrücke Irak and the humanitarian assistance provided by Mirza Dinnayi.
The Aurora laureate, having overcome many obstacles in Syria and Iraq, has been able to help the most vulnerable members of the Yezidi community.
Mirza Dinnayi rescued more than 1,500 people, mostly women and children, by helping to receive rehabilitation treatment in Germany.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mirza Dinnayi thanked for the invitation and congratulated YSU Centennial, after which she presented her activities and future plans
Asked what he was feeling when he was named on the stage in the nomination for the winner, Mirza Dinnayi said it was very unexpected for him.
"Doing humanitarian work is the most important part of my life, and I have never considered Aurora a competition. When my name was heard on the stage, I said that my other colleagues also deserve this award. " said the Aurora Award winner.
