The Summit was organized by the American University of Armenia Acopian center for the Environment and Armenia Tree Project Charitable foundation.
The purpose of the Summit is to promote open and active discussion of forests policy in Armenia to improve forest conservation and restoration in Armenia and abroad.
Chair of Botany and Mycology of YSU Faculty of Biology also participated in the international summit.
Speaking to us, Siranush Nanagyulyan, Head of the Chair, mentioned that during discussions at the International Summit, she spoke about forest biodiversity, the issue of fungus conservation and students' involvement in environmental programs and studies.
