«SCIENCE TO START-UP. PRINCIPLES OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND BUSINESS» TRAINING STARTED AT YSU
Today at the Center of Excellence in Applied Biosciences of YSU started a training course “Science to Start up. Principles of entrepreneurship and business’’ started with the Erasmus+ project ABIONE. The training is designed for the lecturers, PhDs and Master students.
The training is organized within the Erasmus+ Project ABIONET, by the partner Technological University Dresden. The training will continue at National Agrarian University, Gavar State University and Shirak State University.
The main purpose of the course is to develop transversal skills among the faculty and students, to support the development of start-up projects based on science and research results.
A separate section is designed to support formation of skills of funding proposals writing and fund-raising.
The course started with introduction lecture by ”CARD’’ expert Sergey Chakhmakhchyan, who is the ABIONET consortium associate partner.
He presented the main acitivities of CARD in Armenia and the possibilities for the students to get involved in the “CARD” project activities.
The project partners Gerard Cullen and Valeriya Racheeva from Technological University Dresden are the trainers and the training programme in general includes not only theoretical components, but also practical aspects.
The other important component of the course is the development and teaching of relevant educational modules.
The training participants agree that at the Master Programme level it is very important to teach the students how to write a research proposal, to conduct fundraising and to develop a start-up project.
This will allow them to get sense of practical outcome of the research projects they are conducting.
