On June 13, this year, at 10:00 a.m., the YSU Academic Council Session Hall will host the presentation of the master's program "International Courts and Arbitration." Launched in 2023 at Yerevan State University, this program is initiated and led by Yeghishe Kirakosyan, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Representative of Armenia on international legal issues.
The program is conducted in a full-time mode with a duration of three semesters. It offers students the opportunity to learn the principles and foundations of international law, to gain in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of international courts and arbitration proceedings, to understand the role, activities and characteristics of various courts of international legal dispute settlement, the different stages of international legal dispute settlement, from negotiations to the recognition and implementation of final judgments, including potential contestations, to evaluate the role of domestic law in the process of international legal dispute settlement, as well as to develop written and oral argumentation skills.
The courses are conducted exclusively in English. The teaching staff includes experienced international lawyers and guest professors from leading universities.
The program's partners are the Center for Truth and Justice (CFTJ) and the Armenian Missionary Association of America (AMAA).
