Yerevan State University within the framework of the American Studies grant program is announcing a seed grants research competition in the field of American Studies funded by the US Embassy in Armenia. In particular, research on current US socio-political realities, economics, business, civil society, US involvement and role in international and regional arenas, American cultural life, as well as individual episodes of US history, is welcomed.
The goals of the competition are:
Expand and enrich the research potential of American studies.
Encourage academic-applied research in American studies.
Applicants with research interests in the field of American Studies or related academic disciplines are invited to participate in this competition.
Planned financial support for winning bids up to $ 2,500 equivalent in AMD.
The requirements for the participants of the competition are:
At least three years of academic research experience
Academic degree in the field of social sciences
International academic research experience will be considered as an advantage
In case of group application, priority will be given to research projects with young
research fellow(s) or postgraduate student(s)
International applicants participation is encouraged.

Research Proposal within a maximum of 1500 words within one of the suggested topics:
-Applied ethics and anti-corruption policies in the U.S.: best practices and models.
-Corporate governance and the SDG: the U.S. experience and policy convergence modalities.
-The U.S. economic and business interests in the post-Soviet space: trend analysis of transformations and challenges (2010-2020).
- American culture and soft power in the globalized world: images and perceptions from the outside.
-Civic groups (NGOs, Diasporas) and their influence on the U.S. foreign policies: the case of the Eurasian (post-Soviet) region.
-Media and strategic communication: Influence of mass communications and media on the U.S. foreign policy.
