Event Titled "Nikos Kazantzakis, the Soul Traveler" at YSU

On February 28, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at YSU Charles Aznavour Cultural Center, the event "Nikos Kazantzakis, the Soul Traveler" will be held, organized by the Research Center-Library of Greek Studies. 

The event will include a screening of a documentary film dedicated to the life and work of Kazantzakis. Students of the Research Center-Library of Greek Studies will read excerpts from Kazantzakis' works, and there will be Greek songs and dances, along with a photo exhibition dedicated to Kazantzakis. 

The opening remarks will be delivered by Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Rector of Yerevan State University, Christos Sofianopoulos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to Armenia, His Eminence Archbishop Yeznik Petrosyan, Spritual Dean of the St. Karapet Church in Heraklion, Crete, and Liza Karimyan, Director of the Research Center-Library of Greek Studies.

The guests at the event will include Eduard Mikhailov, President of the Pontic Greek Community in Yerevan, and Eduard Polatov, Head of the "Patrida" NGO of the Greek Community.
