Continuing Professional Development Training Courses
YSU Institute of Pharmacy regularly organizes Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Training Courses for pharmacists and pharmacologists.
Courses have credit capacity. The minimum number of required credits is established by law: for each cycle (5 years), pharmacists must collect at least 160 CPD credits and pharmacologists 100 CPD credits.
In Armenia, CPD credits fall into three categories: theoretical, practical and self-education or self-development.
Theoretical credits are awarded for participation in theoretical professional courses (lectures), which are mostly organized remotely at the Institute of Pharmacy using the video conferencing platform Zoom.
Practical credits are awarded for participation in research activities involving practical activity.
Credits for self-education and self-development are granted for mastering and/or developing electronic educational materials, as well as publishing scientific works and papers.
