Data Processing in Physics and Artificial Intelligence
Bachelor's degree programme
About the program
Admission requirements
To be admitted to the "Data Processing in Physics and Artificial Intelligence" educational program, the applicants take two competitive exams in "Mathematics" (written) and "Physics" (written) or "Foreign Language" (written).
The aim of the program
The program aims to provide basic knowledge about the problems of modern physics and mathematics, to form in the student the ability to receive, coordinate, and analyze information related to the field, as well as to provide knowledge about machine learning algorithms, data processing models (Data Science) and computing systems. By developing intellectual capacities, students gain the ability to research physical phenomena, design, model, program and manage a database using modern information, computing, and artificial intelligence methods.
Advantages
In recent years, the rapid development of information technologies has created an opportunity for in-depth analysis and new research of many physical processes (database design, modeling, and graphical representation of various physical phenomena, programming, and management), which, in addition to the knowledge of mathematical models of signal processing and machine learning algorithms, knowledge of the basic educational program of physics is also necessary. That is why the implementation of the Bachelor's educational program "Data Processing in Physics and Artificial Intelligence" at YSU Institute of Physics is highly relevant and necessary.
Career opportunities for graduates
Graduates of the "Data Processing in Physics and Artificial Intelligence" work in academic and research institutes, as well as educational and scientific departments of universities, colleges, and schools, YSU Physics Research Institute, RA NAS Institute of Applied Physics Problems, the National Scientific Laboratory named after A. Alikhanyan, "Laser Technology" CJSC, the joint Armenian-Greek CJSC "LT-Pirkal", the Byurakan Observatory, as well as in state and private enterprises operating in the field of IT.
Graduates of the program can continue their studies in various Master's programs.
