Active efforts towards internationalization continue at Yerevan State University, expanding the boundaries of scientific and educational cooperation. The university has officially become a member of the Austrian Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU), opening up significant opportunities for researchers, professors, and students, and contributing to the advancement of international scientific ties as well as cooperation with Austrian and other leading universities.
Artak Piloyan, Acting Head of the Chair of Cartography and Geomorphology at YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology, stated that the initiative was realized through the invitation of Professor Josef Strobl, President of the Austrian Eurasia-Pacific Uninet.

"The Austrian Eurasia-Pacific Uninet was founded by the Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research. Its main goal is to promote scientific and educational cooperation between countries in Central Asia, East Asia, and the Pacific region," said Artak Piloyan.
He also emphasized that YSU’s membership in the Eurasia-Pacific Uninet creates significant opportunities for the university’s researchers and students. Specifically, it will foster the advancement of international scientific ties and facilitate cooperation with Austrian and other leading universities.
"This cooperation will also contribute to academic mobility programs, offering students and professors the opportunity to study and teach abroad through exchange programs," Artak Piloyan added.
It is important to highlight that this membership marks a significant step in YSU’s internationalization process. It strengthens the university’s role within the global scientific and educational cooperation framework and contributes to enhancing its reputation in the international educational and research community.
