About the program
Admission requirements
The entrance exam is conducted orally by the questionnaire for the entrance exam. The questionnaire can be found in the "Admissions" section.
The aim of the program
The program aims to prepare research specialists in the fields of geophysics, hydrogeology, and engineering geology, who will coordinate and analyze information related to geophysics, hydrogeology, and engineering geology using modern computer technologies, to invest professional knowledge in the fields of Earth physics, mineral exploration, seismology, engineering geology for solving the problems faced by the economy, drawing up and implementing relevant programs, mastering the theoretical foundations of geophysics, hydrogeology and engineering geology, posing and solving practical problems.
Advantages
The YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology is the only one in the Republic where geophysicists, seismologists, engineer-geologists, and hydrogeologists are trained.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the Master's degree program work in geological, geological exploration, mining organizations that carry out the search, exploration, and extraction of mineral raw materials, in the Ministries of Environment, Territorial Management, and Infrastructure, and Emergency Situations, in academic and subordinate scientific research organizations related to the solution of geological problems, in companies that deal with engineering-geological, hydrogeological, geo-environmental problems, in higher and secondary educational institutions, etc.
