Mkhitar Gabrielyan, Dean of the YSU History Faculty, welcomed the freshmen with these words: "It’s both an honor and a responsibility to be a YSU student. You are embarking on one of the most significant journeys of your lives, and it is especially noteworthy that you are joining the founding faculty of YSU. The programs offered by the History Faculty have a profound impact on our country, society, state politics, and future developments."
The dean of the History Faculty assured that the faculty will create an environment where students not only develop a passion for their chosen field but also achieve great success.
First-year students of the "Caucasian Studies" bachelor’s program, Melik Harutyunyan and Milena Margaryan, expressed their interest in the region's political developments and their eagerness to apply their knowledge for the benefit of the country.
First-year student of the "Archaeology and Ethnography" master’s program Stella Saroyan said: "I intend to enhance my professional expertise in ethnography. By continuing my education at the Archaeology and Ethnography Chair, I aim to expand my research skills and contribute to the preservation of national identity."
Students were given detailed information about their professions, the main principles of the educational process, and the importance of using digital tools.
Additionally, the freshmen were pleasantly surprised to receive gifts with the YSU emblem.
Employees of the History Faculty’s office, chair heads, program coordinators, and faculty members also attended the event.
