On March 10, 2025, an event was held at YSU Faculty of History to commemorate International Women's Day. The event was organized by the students of the "Archaeology and Ethnography" educational program, with the aim of raising awareness about the lives and work of female researchers who have made significant contributions to the fields of archaeology and ethnography.

Ruzanna Tsaturyan, a lecturer at the Chair of Archaeology and Ethnography at YSU, spoke about the importance of the event and the students' involvement. She emphasized that such events are crucial for recognizing the role of women in the scientific field. R. Tsaturyan noted that some of the information presented about the researchers had previously been unavailable, and it was gathered through interviews conducted by students.
The students of the "Archaeology and Ethnography" program also organized a poster exhibition, where the biographies and studies of Armenian female archaeologists and ethnographers were presented. These posters highlighted the contributions and impact of each researcher in science.
During the event, a quiz was also held, focusing on the role of notable women throughout history. The game allowed participants to test their knowledge about historical female figures who had a significant impact on various fields. The winner of the quiz was awarded a book as a prize.
The event was attended by academic staff and students of the Faculty of History.
