A delegation from the Polish Center for Mediterranean Archaeology, the University of Warsaw, led by the center's Director Artur Obłuski, visited YSU Faculty of History. The delegation also included Mateusz Iskran, Head of the Department of Near Eastern Studies at the center. During the visit, the prospects for scientific cooperation were discussed, as well as the potential for joint archaeological research projects.

The center is engaged in archaeological research in the Mediterranean and Near Eastern regions, conducting excavations and various scientific research projects. The center's experts are involved in archaeological expeditions in Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, and other countries in the region.
During the visit, the possibility of YSU History Faculty’s students participating in the center's programs in Armenia, as well as in international archaeological projects, was discussed. As a result of the agreement reached, YSU students will be able to participate in fieldwork in Argishtikhinili (Armavir) and Zvartnots starting in May, applying their theoretical knowledge in practice.
Artur Obłuski also mentioned that students interested in excavations in Alexandria and other archaeological sites could join these projects and work with international excavation teams.
The meeting also addressed the issue of conducting remote lectures, and the University of Warsaw expressed its readiness to organize courses for YSU History Faculty’s students, helping deepen their professional knowledge in international archaeology.
The visit of the University of Warsaw representatives creates new opportunities for YSU History Faculty’s students and researchers to engage in international programs, expand scientific connections, and enrich their professional experience.
