As part of the cooperation between the YSU Faculty of Journalism and BBC Media Action, video and mobile journalism trainer Paul Myles was hosted at the university. He led a three-day training course for lecturers.
The training course aimed to enhance the educational programs of the journalism faculty by introducing new digital media courses and innovative teaching methods.
During his 36 years of working at the BBC, Paul Myles has trained hundreds of professionals in different countries around the world. During the three-day course, the professors of the YSU Faculty of Journalism discussed topics such as creative content creation, filming, editing techniques, story selection, and narrative possibilities.
Looking ahead, this collaboration will include additional training courses for lecturers in the coming months. These courses will cover topics such as fact-checking, podcast journalism, and open-source investigation skills.
