On December 2, 2024, YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology hosted a meeting with YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, YSU Academic Secretary Meri Hovhannisyan, along with the teaching staff and students of the Philosophy and Psychology Faculty.
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan outlined the ongoing academic and scientific reforms at YSU and answered the questions posed by the teaching staff and students.
The rector spoke about YSU’s latest achievements on international platforms, new collaborations, and innovative initiatives aimed at developing educational and research programs within the university. He emphasized how these initiatives are crucial in positioning YSU as a leading academic and scientific institution.
The speakers noted that the resolutions proposed during similar meetings would facilitate the implementation of high-quality academic and research work, as well as the training and development of highly skilled personnel.
At the end of the meeting, the Rector of Yerevan State University, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, presented a letter of appreciation to scientist, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, and Professor Ruben Aghuzumtsyan for his significant contribution to the field of applied and experimental psychology. During the presentation of the certificate, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, PhD, Associate Professor Aleksan Baghdasaryan, emphasized the professor's essential contribution both at the national and international levels. The Head of the Department of General Psychology, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Hrant Avanesyan, noted that Ruben Aghuzumtsyan's work not only contributed to the development of psychology but also played a key role in the establishment and advancement of the science of psychology in Armenia.
The attendees highlighted the long-standing and multifaceted international activities of the professor, who enjoys great recognition in the global scientific community.
