Students from the YSU Faculty of Russian Philology, accompanied by Deputy Dean Edgar Arshakyan and Head of the Chair of Russian Literature Ashkhen Atanesyan, visited the Valery Brusov Museum at Brusov State University (BSU).
Diana Sarafyan, Director of the BSU Library, presented the history of the museum, highlighting significant episodes from Brusov's life and work. She guided the students through the museum's exhibitions, which are organized into several sections: "Brusov's Biography and Work," "Books Published during V. Brusov's Lifetime (1894-1924)," "Brusov and Armenia," "Brusov: Translator of World Literature," "Brusov and His Era," and "History of Brusov Readings."
The YSU students explored the entire collection, which includes many books published during Brusov's lifetime, such as the anthology Poetry of Armenia from Ancient Times to the Present Day, edited by the renowned Russian Symbolist. They also had the opportunity to view his death mask and a plaster model of his hand, created by Academician S. Merkurov.
This visit allowed the students to deepen their understanding of the literary heritage and contributions of the great Russian writer.
