A round table discussion dedicated to the 230th anniversary of A. S. Griboyedov was held at YSU Faculty of Russian Philology. The event took place in two formats: participants from Armenia delivered their presentations in person, while participants from Russia joined online.
The round table discussion included faculty members, as well as undergraduate and graduate students. The event brought together students from various fields of study and universities.
Students from different courses at YSU Faculty of Russian Philology presented Griboyedov’s work as a writer. The aspects of Griboyedov’s diplomatic mission were addressed by students from the Faculty of International Relations of the Yerevan branch of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov, and from the Institute of Historical and Legal Education of Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University.
The event was organized by the Chair of Russian Literature at YSU Faculty of Russian Philology. The aim was to discuss the philosophical, socio-cultural, and psychological issues raised in the play Woe from Wit, as well as the aspects of Griboyedov’s diplomatic career in the context of the social and political situation of the first half of the 19th century. The students presented their interpretations of classical literature and reflected on their understanding of Griboyedov’s multifaceted personality.
The event, conducted in this format, generated significant interest among students and faculty members, creating a diverse, lively, and productive environment.
