Cross-cultural Communication and Translation (Russian)

The aim of the program

The program aims to:

• Develop skills necessary for translating various Russian and Armenian texts,
• Prepare specialists, who can perform proofreading and editorial work related to the given languages,
• Introduce the modern basic principles of intercultural communication and translation,
• Analyze languages (especially Russian and Armenian) in a cultural context,
• Prepare specialists who can distinguish and analyze the types, forms, and structural patterns of intercultural communication.

The competitive aspect of the program

Labor market studies show that there is a great demand for qualified Russian-Armenian translators in various fields in RA, as well as intercultural communication specialists and qualified professionals with communicative and cultural competencies. The best specialists in Russian language and Russian literature, who are engaged in various scientific activities, teach at the faculty.
