Professor Reinhard Heinisch from the University of Salzburg delivered a lecture to students and academic staff at YSU Faculty of International Relations, where he presented research planning, research strategies, and the principles of publishing articles in international journals.

Heinisch is the recipient of the Austrian National Prize for Science, awarded by the Lupac Foundation of the Austrian Parliament in recognition of his achievements in the field of science.
He began his academic career in the United States, working at the University of Pittsburgh, and since 2014, he has been regularly teaching at Renmin University in China as well.
During the lecture, the professor presented both successful and unsuccessful examples of research question selection, emphasizing those that are not applicable for writing academic articles in the social sciences.

Such visits foster the development of students' critical and analytical thinking and stimulate their interest in science and research activities.
Professor Heinisch introduced students to the fundamentals of quantitative and qualitative methodologies in conducting research. Specifically, he discussed research planning and typology, as well as the selection of methods, emphasizing that with the proper application of these approaches, young scientists will be able to publish their articles in high-ranking journals during their professional careers.
