An open lecture titled "Chinese New Year Through the Eyes of Armenian Students" was held at YSU Faculty of International Relations for those interested in China and Chinese culture.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, PhD, Associate Professor Tigran Yepremyan, faculty members, the Acting Charge d'Affaires of the People's Republic of China in Armenia, Chen Ming, representatives from the Confucius Institute of Brusov State University, and students.

In his welcoming speech, Dean Tigran Yepremyan highlighted that such events provide an opportunity to engage with the cultural traditions of an ancient civilization.
Associate Professor Syuzanna Navasardyan, the Head of the Chair of Diplomatic Service and Professional Communication, and the Director of the Center for Chinese Language and Culture, emphasized that the event aimed to introduce students learning Chinese and those interested in Chinese culture to the traditional Chinese holidays, as well as to increase students' interest in Chinese culture.
Chen Ming, the Acting Charge d'Affaires of the People's Republic of China, stressed the importance of the Armenian-Chinese fraternal relations and noted that this is his fourth Chinese New Year celebration in Armenia, and his third time participating in a Chinese New Year event at YSU.
"The participation of YSU students in such events is very important for strengthening Armenian-Chinese fraternal relations," the ambassador said, expressing hope that the students would contribute to further development of Armenian-Chinese relations with their knowledge and experiences.
The students of the Faculty of International Relations presented the customs and traditions of the Chinese New Year in Chinese, as well as musical performances and poetry readings.
