Thanks to the collaboration between YSU International Cooperation Office and various faculties at the university, both the academic staff and students have the opportunity to participate in international mobility programs and engage in numerous events with leading universities. To this effect, YSU Faculty of International Relations has taken noteworthy steps.
Faculty Dean Tigran Yefremyan, discussing the achievements of the past year and future plans related to the process of internationalization, emphasized the efforts made to ensure that YSU becomes more actively involved in both educational and research fields.

"Through the established connections, the faculty collaborates with the University of Siena in Italy, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Southern Federal University," stated the dean. He further highlighted that during this period, both the faculty’s academic staff and students participated in various EU Erasmus+ mobility programs, gaining valuable experience in the international arena.
He also addressed the collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) of India. "As part of this collaboration, one of our students has been invited to participate in Raisina Dialogue, one of the most prestigious geopolitical forums," he noted.
Thanks to the cooperation with the Chinese Embassy, the faculty has organized training in China. This training was a significant experience, especially for those students wishing to deepen their knowledge, expertise, and research on Asia.
"We have initiated the process of developing joint master’s programs, with the participation of Complutense University of Madrid," said the dean, adding that students are given the exclusive opportunity to participate in various international, including academic exchange, programs.
Speaking about future plans, the dean emphasized the importance of establishing an international research center, stressing that this initiative would not only enhance YSU’s academic reputation but also support the implementation of joint projects with international partners.
"We plan to create a brain center at the university, one of the main goals of which will be to gain international recognition and become a key component in the university’s scientific and educational fields," he concluded.
