On November 21, 2024, YSU Faculty of Economics and Management hosted a master class on "Tax Administration in the Republic of Armenia," led by World Bank tax expert Anahit Basentsyan. The master class was actively participated in by 4th-year students from the "Economics" and "Management" educational programs.
During the session, the development stages of tax administration in Armenia were presented, along with an overview of reforms and the current situation. The necessity and outcomes of cooperation between the state, private sector, and citizens were also discussed. A key focus was the analysis of real business examples, examining the relationship between tax administration and the behavior of business entities. The session concluded with an in-depth discussion on the challenges related to income declaration for physical persons, which sparked intense debate.
It is important to note that the master class was organized as part of the "Business Organization and Management" course, under the initiative of Nonna Khachatryan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Management and Business.
