On November 12 and 29, 2024, first-year students of the "Management" and "Economics" educational programs from YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, accompanied by Associate Professor Varduhi Gabrielyan from the Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations, visited the Central Bank of Armenia.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the structure, functions, and strategic priorities of the Central Bank of Armenia, as well as the objectives and tools of its monetary policy. They also gained insights into the development of the financial system of the Republic of Armenia.
At the visitor center, the students watched a short video on inflation, learned about the creation of the Armenian dram and the history of currency circulation in Armenia, the protective features of the national currency, and attended exhibits of ancient coins, as well as commemorative gold and silver coins and medals issued by the Central Bank. Additionally, they were informed about the educational programs, career development opportunities, and employment prospects at the Central Bank of Armenia.
