About the program
Admission requirements
Admission is organized according to the "Regulation of admission to RA state and non-state higher educational institutions (according to the Bachelor's academic program)" approved by the RA Government.
The aim of the program
The "Economics" educational program aims to prepare high-quality economists-specialists for organizations performing economic activities in various sectors of the economy, financial and banking sector, production and social infrastructures, state administration, and local self-government systems.
Advantages
Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be able to present the main directions of application of modern probabilistic, optimization, statistical, and econometric methods, as well as interpret the main concepts of micro- and macroeconomics, problems of global and local markets.
Graduates of the educational program will be able to make the necessary technical and economic calculations for business, evaluate the economic efficiency of the activities of various organizations, and branches of industry, contribute to the decisions made by economic entities, and the solution of practical problems with economic analysis and calculations.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the program can occupy the following positions after graduating from the university: an employee of the economic management apparatus, an economist (including the social sector), an adviser on economic issues, an economist-analyst, a teacher, and a lecturer. The graduates can get jobs at the Government of the Republic of Armenia, ministries, other state departments, private sector, higher and public educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as international organizations.
Graduates of the program have the opportunity to continue their studies in the Master’s program in "Economics" (without an entrance exam) and other specialties, as well as to obtain a Bachelor's degree or a qualified specialist degree in the second specialty in reduced terms.
