Admission requirements

According to the YSU Master's degree admission procedure, applicants with Bachelor's degrees in "Chemistry", "Physics" and related specialties are admitted through an oral exam in "General Chemistry" or "General Physics".

The aim of the program

The program aims to:

• Prepare specialists equipped with knowledge corresponding to the modern scientific and technical level of Materials Science, with the skills to apply that knowledge in various fields of economy and science,
• Give students in-depth knowledge about the nature of matter and the role of structure,
• prepare scientific and technical personnel with practical skills to work in chemical, military-industrial, computer technology, biomedical materials, energy, environmental protection, and other targeted fields,
• Develop students' abilities to critically observe, analyze, evaluate, and interpret practical problems and propose solutions, scientific and engineering projects, work in a team, and lead.

Advantages

Specialists with a "Materials Science" Master's degree can get a job both in the Republic of Armenia and in foreign scientific, educational, and industrial enterprises related to the field of materials science.
