This research will focus on examining the factors contributing to or hindering the subjective well-being of studying youth in the period of emerging adulthood (students and post-graduate students). In the conditions of the contemporary challenges there is need to identify the stress sources, the reasons of academic disengagement, demotivation and alienation from such activity, interruption of professional formation. According to study goals and objectives subjectively-perceived difficult life situations of students and post-graduate students and their coping mechanisms, as well as factors contributing to or disrupting academic engagement will be identified. As predictive factors, the role of grit, mindset, self-regulating behaviors, homesickness, and attachment to the home, will be analyzed in subjective well-being. The project outcome will be an empirical model of disruption factors and predictors of the subjective well-being of studying youth in the phase of emerging adulthood. Based on the findings, the recommendations for psychological services in universities will be developed. Around 300 respondents will be inquired, 5 articles based on the results of the study will be published. The results of the study will be presented in two international conferences.
