General information
The proposed program is related to the study of antioxidant and radioprotective properties of polyphenol (PF) - bovine serum albumin (BSA) and PF - BSA– dialkylsulfoxide (DASO) systems. The aim of the project is to find out potential synergistic /additive synergistic / antagonistic effects of these systems, to give quantitative estimates and to develop the possibilities of using these systems as a food antioxidant and radioprotective ingredient in in sunscreen preparations / drugs. For the studies we will use mainly electronic absorption, fluorescent emission and FTIR spectroscopic methods, which allow to find out the thermodynamic, kinetic behavior of abovementioned systems, as well the structure and structural changes of individual molecules and resulting complexes.
