Obvious calculations of the characteristics of the ice phenomena of Lake Sevan, which is of vital importance and is a strategic resource for Armenia, the rivers flowing into the lake, the large river basins of Debed and Arpa, hydroecological safety and studies of features, scientifically justified, as well as forecasts, especially in the context changes in modern climate.
The purpose of the study is to calculate the characteristics of the flow of ice phenomena based on hydrometeorological information obtained in recent years and, using modern methods of analysis and calculations, to study the characteristics of the ice regime of rivers in various regions of Armenia, to determine the hydroecological safety of the territory, to assess their possible changes due to global warming, to evaluate their hydroecological features, develop new forecasting techniques.
The results obtained can be used for planning and implementing water management activities, studying and forecasting the thermal regime of rivers, assessing hydroecological safety, developing strategies for the rational use and protection of water resources in the territories of the Republic of Armenia.
