The project seeks to employ cutting-edge computer vision techniques to analyze psychological state, facial expressions and gestures of students in university lecture videos. Our study is focused on research of students' engagement, attitudes towards lectures, lecturers and the overall learning environment. Our primary goal is to study engagement of students by studying their facial expressions, gestures and interconnections between them during the lectures and as a result to offer new approaches for teaching and learning. The project utilizes a pre-collected dataset of lecture videos and employs computer vision approaches for the extraction of facial expressions, gestures, and their interconnected patterns.
