General information
The members of the group presenting the scientific project will undergo scientific study using modern methods and will present the archaeological and anthropological materials found in burials with collective funerary rites in the necropolises of Mrtbi Dzor, Hatsarat, Noratus, Kanagegh, Nerkin Getashen, Artanish of the Sevan basin dated to Bronze-Iron Ages and will present them in the context of comprehensive bioarchaeological and archaeological interpretations. It will be possible, using the results of ancient DNA research, to reorganize the mortality rates of the ancient population of the Gegharkunik region of RA, the genetic relations of the people buried in the collective burials, the traumatic situation, the lifestyle of the ancient populations, and interpret the obtained results in the context of systematic research of written sources, linguistics, mythology, traditions, etc.
